I think a lot about the transformation of human animals over the past 150 years.

This image evokes the cycles of novelty, scandal, wonder and the banal, all driven by the relentless pace of time.

I'm grateful to Manet for creating part of the inspiration, Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe, a composition that will stick in my head for life.
